Revanesse® Fillers

what are Revanesse® fillers

Cosmetic Medical Clinic revanesse fillers in St. Albert | Revanesse fillers in Edmonton

Lip fillers are a non-surgical treatment used to smooth away lines, restore natural contours, and enhance lips for a smooth, natural, and refreshed appearance.

We use Revanesse® as our lip injection because it offers a line of leading-edge facial fillers specially formulated to reduce lines and restore facial volume lost over time. These fillers deliver smooth, natural-looking fullness to sunken cheeks, corrects smile and laugh lines, and firm up a softening jaw line.

how it works

Revanesse® fillers are made from hyaluronic acid (HA), which naturally occurs in your skin. As we age, our skin’s HA level is drastically reduced, resulting in fine lines and wrinkles, decreased suppleness and smoothness.

Revanesse® fillers replenish the HA in your skin, helping your skin cells survive longer, retain moisture, and nourish collagen. This gives your skin fullness, elasticity and a more youthful appearance. Smoother, plumper skin decreases the appearance of fine lines and even moderate to deep wrinkles.

why this treatment?

Revanesse® is a next-generation, Canadian filler that uses hyaluronic acid—a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to hydrate and add volume—to diminish fine to severe lines, lift and contour cheeks, add fullness to the lips, or smooth lines around the nose and mouth.

The results are instant and natural looking and have been reported to last up to 18 months, longer than many other facial fillers.

 the process

Revanesse® gel filler is injected using a fine needle, by an expertly trained nurse under the direction of our full-time physicians. Your medical history will be reviewed and a facial analysis will be performed before any injections are done.

 what to expect

How should I prepare for my procedure?

Ensure your body is well hydrated. Please inform the Nurse if you are prone to COLD SORES. A course of prophylactics may be required before treatment. DO NOT take Aspirin, Ibuprofen, other anti-inflammatory, or Vitamin E for at least 4 days prior to your treatment as this may increase risk of bleeding and bruising to the injection site. You may take Tylenol.

How long will the treatment take?

You should expect one session to take from 15 to 60 minutes depending on the facial area treated.

Is there anything I should avoid post-procedure?

Please refrain from any activities that will increase your circulation (i.e. exercise and drinking alcohol). In order to allow the product to stabilize, do not rub, scratch, or massage the treated area(s). Avoid extreme hot/cold temperatures. Avoid excessive movement of the area for a few days, especially the first 12 hours. If you have had lip enhancement, avoid puckering your lips for 2 days after the treatment, also avoid drinking liquids through a straw.

How long will healing take?

Though Revanesse® treatments are non-surgical, our nurse can use a topical numbing cream or ice to minimize any discomfort at the injection sites. The HA-based filler also contains lidocaine, a local anesthetic. You will be able to go back to your daily routine after your treatment.

Can I continue my regular skin care routine?

Avoid any at home exfoliants for 5-7 days. Avoid professional skin treatments (ex. Waxing, lasers, microdermabrasion etc.) for 2 weeks.

How long after my appointment will my follow up appointment take place?

If a follow up is required we recommend waiting till the 2 week point to allow filler to settle and let any swelling and bruising to go down.
