what is microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is an exfoliation treatment that is ideal for rejuvenation of the skin and acne, resulting in an improved elasticity and skin texture producing an overall anti-aging effect.

how it works

Over time, our skin develops a build up of dead skin that clogs pores and results in dry patches, enlarged looking pores and overall less radiant skin.  Microdermabrasion is an effective way of removing this build up, so that your skin is left feeling smooth and radiant.

This treatment improves skin tone and pigmentation, as well as acne scarring, leaving radiant, toned, healthy-looking skin.

why this treatment?

Superficial to mild grades of acne can be improved and preventative, pigmentary conditions like post acne hyperpigmentation (PIHP) and melasma are lightened and more even. Tone is healthier and texture is softer.

From the first treatment you will notice improvement of overall tone and radiant skin.

 the process

A resurfacing double-cleanse with soothing warm towels is the first step in preparing the skin for treatment.  Diamond encrusted handpiece tips and vacuum suction are selected depending on exfoliation aggression and the wand is glided over the skin in a uniform and consistent pattern. You will feel a gentle suction with a slightly gritty like exfoliation.

This treatment does not produce any discomfort and is quite relaxing. After the build up of dead skin cell layers, dirt, oil, and impurities is removed a soothing masque is applied. You can close your eyes and relax as a stimulating arm and hand massage is provided. After the masque removal, personalized skincare products are applied to your fresh, new skin to hydrate and protect. Skin may be slightly warm and red, but this sensation and appearance only lasts for the next few hours.
